SPECIAL ACTIVITY COURSES

English and Golf or Horse Riding
10 hours of English lessons each week with 4 afternoons of golf or horse riding. The golf can be either playing on a local golf course or having professional lessons. The course fees include green fees, tuition fees and the hire of practice balls. The horse riding can be either lessons or treks. Both sports are available in England, Scotland, Ireland, the USA, Australia and New Zealand.

Italian culture in Tuscany
10 hours of Italian lessons with 10 hours of a special activity. This could be Italian cooking, history of Art or history of Tuscany and the Medici’s. Includes all materials used and admission fees to galleries etc.

Deep Sea Fishing or Scuba Diving in Hawaii
10 hours of English lessons each week plus the equivalent of four afternoons of scuba diving or deep sea fishing. The diving can be for experienced divers or beginners. The course fees include equipment hire and tuition and diving fees. The fishing includes boat and equipment hire (with a group) plus bait.

Skiing in Italy, Germany or France
10 hours of Italian, French or German with four afternoons of snow skiing. Includes skiing, lift fees and equipment hire.

Horse Riding in Spain
10 hours of Spanish lessons with the equivalent of four afternoons of riding which can be either riding lessons or treks.

Russian culture in St Petersburg
10 hours of Russian lessons with evening visits to the opera and ballet, plus visits to St Isaac’s Cathedral, the Hermitage Art Museum (the largest art treasury in Russia), the Peter and Paul Fortress (the burial place of all the Romanov’s), the Yusupov Palace and a guided city tour.

UK and Ireland Excursion Programmes

We now offer a special excursion package for independent learners aged 18+ of 10 hours of English language lessons together with one full day accompanied excursion PLUS one half day accompanied local excursion, at the same course fees as advertised for each region for 15 hours of lessons with full board and accommodation. These accompanied excursions will be travel days only, do not include entrance to theme parks, boat trips etc, so do not include admission charges or payment for tickets of any sort, apart from daily travel cards on public transport, if used. In many cases, the teachers will use their own car. The student does not have to pay any extra on these days.

PLUS

One full day and two half day unaccompanied excursions with all travel costs on public transport paid for by the student. All entrance fees to attractions are also to be paid EXTRA by the student. These unaccompanied half day tours could be full day if the student wishes and the lessons will be made up on other days. On unaccompanied tours, the student will be taken to the nearest point of public transport, given help to buy a daily travel card for buses, subway etc, train or coach fares as appropriate. The teacher will provide the student with a list of all the local excursions available and help with selecting the appropriate excursion.
