Teacher profile: Christine Russ

My husband, Brian and I, have had the pleasure of welcoming students from all over the world to our home for many years.

1st June 2018 — We greatly enjoy the opportunity to share our cuisine, culture, language and history and to learn about theirs.

We live in the beautiful County of Kent, known as the Garden of England, in the charming village of Littlebourne. Our house is an 18th Century character cottage.

It is just 12 minutes by bus to the historic City of Canterbury, and its UNESCO World Heritage Site and beautiful Medieval Cathedral.

Canterbury is just an hour by high speed train to London and half an hour from Dover, with frequent ferries to France. The Eurostar from Ashford also connects to Paris.

There is plenty to see and do in the area; castles, churches, museums, theatres, cinemas, leisure centre, golf course, shops and restaurants and a Wildlife Park close to our village.

I have been teaching English as a Foreign Language for many years and like to work with the student to design a programme of learning to meet their needs, whether for examinations or business use.

We try to give our guests a wide experience of the English way of life, from visiting historic sites to trips to seaside resorts local villages, and walks in the lovely countryside.

We aim to offer students a warm and interesting stay and give them more confidence with their written and spoken English.
